More than $300 million in military- and veteran-related scholarships and grants are available for eligible service members, veterans and their families.i
Military Scholarships Defined
Military scholarships fund your vocational training. Who can get military scholarships? Eligible active duty personnel, veterans, and their families.ii These sources of funding may come from the federal government or nonprofit organizations.
Student Requirements for a Military Scholarship at RSI:
- Before applying for a scholarship, you will need to meet all routine requirements for admission to RSI and be scheduled to start training.
- Once placed in a class or shift, you can’t transfer your scholarship to a different shift or program.
- Changing your training start date can result in the loss of your scholarship.
Scholarships to Help Military Members, Veterans, and Their Families Fund Vocational Training
Military education benefits usually cover only tuition and a portion of fees. Fortunately, hundreds of military scholarships and grants are available that can help cover other educational expenses like books and fees.i

The Wells Fargo Veterans Scholarship Program provides scholarships to fill unmet financial need of veterans after military benefits and other grants and scholarships have been packaged by their school. This financial support will allow veterans to focus on completing their education and reduce reliance on student loans.

The mission of the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation in to honor our Marines by educating their children. This scholarship is open year-round, and applications are processed on a monthly basis. We encourage you to submit your application approximately two months prior to your program start date to account for the processing period.
