Solar & the Green Careers Revolution

2015 marked a record breaking year in solar panel installations as the price has dropped significantly in the past 10 years. The Solar Energy Industries Association predicts that the industry will likely break this record in 2016 by more than doubling solar power capacity through installations. 9 This could not only save on energy costs and consumption but could mean more jobs for technicians.

The demand for cleaner, more energy efficient sources, has had an impact on the green careers revolution. There will be opportunities for those with the training and skills to work on energy efficient equipment and meet new environmental compliance standards. This is certainly the case for Heating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration Mechanics and Installers. 10sup>[x]
