What Do You Learn During Evening Electrician Courses?

Whether you attend electrician courses in the day or evening, you advance your knowledge and skills in electrical applications through lectures and hands-on training. The curriculum included in the evening electrician courses includes:

Fundamentals of Electricity

This course focuses on basic electrical understanding. You learn about schematic wiring, test meter usage, and safety processes.

Fundamentals of Solar

This module offers an overview of photovoltaic (PV) science and an introduction to solar energy. The curriculum includes lectures and hands-on lab exercises to teach you the concepts and processes of photovoltaic systems.

Electrical Wiring – Residential and Commercial

An introduction to the National Electrical Code Book1 and how it governs residential and commercial writing protocols. During these courses, you will wire a three-bedroom home and a mock commercial building to practice your installation and safety procedures in a real-world environment.

Emerging Electrical Applications

A course on emerging electrical applications like hydraulic bending equipment, junction boxes, conductor installation, and branch and feeder circuits. You also learn to install voice, data, and video cabling systems.

Motors and Lighting Practices

A course that explains DC and AC electricity, applications, and characteristics. This includes single and three-phase motors, as well as different lighting systems and practices.

Electrical Distribution Systems

A course focused on the characteristics of transformers, switchgear, overcurrent protection, fuses, and circuit breakers, methods for grounding and bonding, and wiring methods in hazardous locations.
